EDI Mapping Project – Ad-hoc mapping resource for Ingredient Manufacturer
The Challenge
We were asked by an International Food manufacturer to Development, Map, Test and roll out their backlog of EDI Projects using their inhouse – To-Increase mapping tool.
As with a lot of companies that trade in an integrated supply chain, they were continuously “asked” to set-up a EDI links with their partners – often as a mandatory requirement to do business.
They already had the ‘To-Increase’ EDI integration and mapping tool so needed us as a technical EDI resource to be their in-house developer.
The Process
We had previously no experience of the To-Increase tool so had to work closely with the team at To-Increase to get up to speed with the tool but as it is very intuitive, we were able to quickly get to grips with it.
We liaised with the client’s business partners to clarify requirements.
The Solution
We developed their EDI process to trade electronically with their clients, documenting their process ready for any new technical resource to take up implementations in the future.
In addition to the usual ‘EDI- Trinity’ messages we worked to develop the Italian Payment XML file creation to fulfil Italian legal requirements.
